Abstract

In the article the question of the impact of meteorological variables and phenomena of weather on the course of combat operations in local wars and armed conflicts. Also consider the influence of climatic factors and weather conditions on the operation of military equipment, which also significantly affect the efficiency of modern combat operations.The experience of World War II and modern local wars demonstrates the need for a competent and timely meteorological support of aviation and ground forces, which, in turn, requires training of skilled military meteorologists engineers capable in difficult weather conditions to make the right decisions on which depends the success of Air Warfare and safety.Despite the significant improvement of military equipment capabilities, for the last 70-80 years, its dependence on the weather conditions are not decreased, and even increased in some cases. There were modern types of weapons, such as laser weapons, which require meteorologists new types of meteorological information. And so the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of military meteorology in modern conditions is required.
