STUDY OF MODERN ECOSYSTEM CASPIAN SEA WITH USING GIS-TECHNOLOGY METHODS

Abstract

In the article «the study of modern ecosystem of the Caspian Sea using GIS methods». The Caspian Sea can be divided into three parts: North, Middle and South Caspian. The intensive use of water resources of rivers, which began with the 50-ies, led to a decrease in the surface flow into the sea, its intra-redistribution and, consequently, to an additional reduction in sea level. At present there is no sufficiently reliable governmental method of forecasting expected changes in the Caspian Sea level, which greatly complicates the solution of issues related to economic and development of the economy in the basin of the sea.
